At the age of 66, veteran Odia actor Uttam Mohanty passed away last evening while receiving treatment at Medant Hospital in Gurugram, which is southwest of New Delhi. At the hospital, Mohanty’s nephew attested to his passing. It should be mentioned that Mohanty had just left for a movie shoot when he complained of health issues and was taken to a private hospital. After receiving therapy, he went back home. However, a few days ago, his condition worsened once again, and he was sent to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
He was soon admitted to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) due to liver cirrhosis. But as his health worsened and he required organ support, his family decided to transport him to the Medant Hospital on the physicians’ suggestion. But regrettably, he passed away today while receiving hospital care. His followers, admirers, and well-wishers, along with a number of significant figures, sent heartfelt condolences on social media as word of his passing spread.
