Vidya Balan Short Film ‘Natkhat’ Represents India At Oscars 2021

Short film Natkhat starring Vidya Balan entered the race for Oscars 2021 in the category of the Best Short Film. The movie also cast child artist Sanika Patel and is directed by Shaan Vyas who is popular for producing movies like Masaan and Zubaan.

The short movie focuses on the story of a month who is trying to educate her son about gender equality and challenging the notion of boys will be boys. The movie has brought India to the Oscar party after being highly acclaimed by international audiences. Even a short clip from the movie where Vidya Balan is seen massaging her son head while having an innocent conversation is making rounds on all the social media.

‘Natkhat’ has already won several awards at international and National award fun Are One: A Global Film Festival and is around 33-minute which is yet to be available in India on digital platforms, the date hasn’t been announced yet.

Actor Vidya Balan expressed her happiness and shared a post on Instagram with a caption reading- “So so so thrilled that our film #NATKHAT is in the race for the #OSCARS2021 after 2020 filled with prestigious international film festivals.”

She also shared a snippet of the movie by captioning- “Natkhat is in the race for the Oscars 2021! Here is a snippet from our special film.”
