Virat Kohli in trouble, Kerala HC sends legal notice for promoting online Rummy

The Kerala High Court has issued notices to Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli, actress Tamanna Bhatia and Aju Bargiz. Virat, Tamanna and Aju are the brand ambassadors of the online Rummy Games. An appeal to the Kerala High Court has called for a ban on online games. It also said that brand ambassadors are intoxicating the younger generation.

The apex court also issued a notice to the state government to defend itself. The petitioner complained to the court that many people in the country had lost their lives after spending huge sums of money playing online games. So it should be curtailed.

Binith, 24, committed suicide a few days ago in Kuttikalam, Thiruvananthapuram. He lost Rs 21 lakh in this online game. Sajesh, 32, also lost a lot of money by playing the game. Because many people have already lost millions of dollars by playing this online game. “I lost Rs 4 lakh myself,” he said.

“Brand ambassadors actually play a big role in attracting innocent young people to play this game,” he said. As a result, the innocent children are also getting caught up in the game cycle by seeing their favorite actors and cricketers in advertisements. I had to get help from a doctor to get out of the game” he said. The court should therefore restrict the game in view of its seriousness.
