Take a look at the whole scenario of Arnav’s arrest and bail

The Supreme Court has granted interim bail to Arnav Goswami, editor-in-chief of Republic TV and two others in interior designer Anvay Naik and his mother’s suicide case.

What was the whole scenario ?

4th  November, 2020: Mumbai police arrested  Arnab Goswami, the editor-in-chief of Republic TV, in connection with a suicide attempt.  Arnab was arrested by the Mumbai police under sections 306 and 34 of the IPC.  Arnab had applied for bail in the Mumbai Session  court, declaring the arrest illegal.  The Sessions Court, however, dismissed the bail application and remanded Arnab in custody for 14 days.

6th November , 2020: Arrested Arnab Goswami, the editor-in-chief of the Republic TV was given a stern order by the judge.  During Thursday’s hearing, Alibagh Chief Justice urged Arnab to uphold the dignity of the court and to act as a defendant and not to interfere in the judicial process.  The magistrate warned Arnab that he was not cooperating in the investigation.  Relatives of the deceased, Anvay Naik, were asked to present or defend the cause of death, and Arnab was asked to stand trial, but he tried to climb to the door near the magistrate.  At the same time, the magistrate urged Arnab not to go anywhere.

9th November , 2020: In the custody of the judiciary, Arnab Goswami also posted a two-hour live video on Facebook.  .  Police seized Arnab’s personal mobile phone at the time of his arrest.  So the biggest question was from where he got mobile in jail.  Arnab was transferred from Alibag to Tajola Jail at 9.30 am on Tuesday.  At the time of the transfer, Arnab asked for protection and complained about Alibagh’s prisoners for allegedly abusing and endangering his life.

10th November, 2020: Arnab Goswami filed a bail application in the Bombay High Court mentioning his arrest illegal. But that was rejected. Arnab Goswami then went to the Supreme Court to challenge the Bombay High court’s verdict.

11th  November, 2020: The Supreme Court finally granted interim bail to Arnav Goswami and two others.
