Dharmendra Pradhan stated, “The persons who are charged with maintaining peace and order should be accountable to the public for their behaviour,” while speaking to reporters in Bhubaneswar. The method of investigation should follow the legislation. We have requested a CBI investigation into the issue because of this. On Thursday, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan urged that the CBI conduct an investigation into the death of Gobinda Sahu, the main suspect in the high-profile Mamita Meher murder case.

The BJP leader said, “The persons who are responsible with maintaining peace and order should be liable for their act to the public,” while speaking to reporters in Bhubaneswar. The method of investigation should follow the legislation. We have requested a CBI investigation into the issue because of this. “Having said that, the fact that we now know how a prisoner awaiting trial passed away inside the facility is the most crucial problem. People now have a lot of room for uncertainty as a result of this. In addition, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik of Odisha, who also serves as Home Minister, should push for a CBI investigation, according to Pradhan.

A five-person Congress delegation has sent a petition to the governor of Odisha asking for a High Court-monitored SIT investigation into the killing of Gobinda Sahu. However, the BJD described the demand as being nothing new. BJD leader Amar Satapathy told reporters that the party that complained to the governor “had no law and order inside the party itself.””CBI and Crime Branch are different investigating organisations with established work scopes. Let them function independently, and don’t politicise them, Satapathy advised.

Earlier on Wednesday, Prithviraj Harichandan, the general secretary of the Odisha BJP, described Gobinda Sahu’s death as part of a BJD-led effort to wipe out witnesses. “It seems to be a common occurrence for the Ministers of the Odisha government to get involved in unlawful operations and to wipe out witnesses after getting detected,” claimed Harichandan in his accusation. The passing of Gobinda Sahu serves as a new illustration of such a push.
