The Khai Khai Couple from Kolkata shares the best places to enjoy food consisting different cuisines and even the delicious home-made dishes that they make. They are a team of two people from Kolkata, who are passionate about food and have interest in cooking as well. They are a couple from the high-school days, hence the name “The Khai Khai Couple “(Khai Khai is a Bengali term meaning hungry). Their team consists of two people, Shreya Chakraborty, who is an engineer and is currently pursuing her MBA and Sayan Saha, who is also an engineer and is currently working in an IT company. Their page on Instagram has recently reached 1.4k followers and they are really excited to continue this journey. They have also opened up on Facebook and they hope that they can provide their followers with much more interesting content in the upcoming days. Below are the answers they responded to Interview Times Questionnaire:-
Q1. What motivated you to start food blogging?
Answer: Basically, we are food lovers and we used to head out to restaurants every alternate week. Every time we went out, we took several food pics and used to post it on our personal social media handles. Many of our friends then suggested starting our own food blog. Thus, we started our journey.
Q2. What were the challenges you have faced while blogging and how did you overcome them?
Answer: The hardest challenge for us was the Covid-19 pandemic due to which we were not able to go out to create content. So we decided to create content from our home made delicacies, since we both share a keen interest in cooking. It was received really well by our audience.
Q3. How did you both manage your time for creating content?
Answer: Although we are really busy throughout the weekdays due to our studies and job, but still we take out a few hours to increase the engagements. We mostly do the hard work of creating and posting on weekends since its day off for us. At the end, if you love something, you can take out time to devote to it.
Q4. According to you what are the special features in your contents?
Answer: Currently, we are focused on home made food which is a favorite with our audience. We believe in quality over quantity. So we try to provide our audience with quality content. Also with passing time we are trying to create better content.
Q5. Any message you want to share with our readers who are interested in food blogging?
Answer: If you are really passionate about food and love talking about it, then go for it. It’s a great thing which you will cherish throughout. Don’t have a professional camera? Don’t have a website? – No problem. Just start with social media and keep growing.
Q6. What are your future plans?
Answer: We aim to have a professional website of our own and even expand our forte to vlogging. And maybe someday, we plan to be in the list of India’s top food bloggers.
