Wonderla Holidays Ltd., India’s largest amusement park chain, held a groundbreaking ceremony for its fifth proposed park in Odisha. Wonderla has announced that the 125-crore Project will be completed by 2025, after announcing its start in June 2022.
The project’s ground-breaking ceremony was recently performed by Odisha’s Chief Minister, Shri Naveen Patnaik, in the presence of the State Tourism Minister and other major industry leaders. Wonderla Holidays has entered into a lease agreement with the government for a 50.63-acre plot of land in Kumbarabasta, Khordha, for a period of 90 years.
Mr. Arun K Chittilappilly, Managing Director, Wonderla Holidays, stated during a panel discussion on ‘Unlocking Odisha’s Nature & Wildlife Tourism Potential’ at the Make In Odisha Conclave 2022, “Odisha is highly aggressive with respect to tourism development & investor facilitation.” The department allocated us land for development in just 60 days.”
In addition, he stated that “Orissa is a priority market for us due to our association with the government, and we will do full justice to the Project, as we always do.” “We hope to finish the project by 2025.” The Make in Odisha Conclave meet is one of the state government’s major initiative drives, focusing on massive investors from more than ten foreign countries and involving 38 business sessions and 250+ speakers.
