Wreckages of antique ship found floating near Odisha sanctuary

Unprecedentedly, the remains of an old ship have been discovered in the ocean close to the Gahirmatha Marine Sanctuary in the Kendrapara district of Odisha. According to reports, the ship’s wreckage became evident following Cyclone Montha’s impact on the water level and current.

The wreckage is reportedly visible within the Rajnagar block, approximately one kilometer off the town of Ekakulanasi. As the water became choppy during Cyclone Montha, it is likely that the ship’s remains were washed ashore.

Because of its unusual raw materials, vintage appearance, and construction, marine experts speculate that the ship may have originated in Britain.
