In a spectacular display of artistic prowess, internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik from Odisha has once again etched his name in the sands of record-breaking achievements. His latest creation, a colossal Lord Ram sand sculpture, has not only captivated the hearts of onlookers but has also secured a place in the prestigious World Records Book of India. Standing at an impressive 55 feet in length, 35 feet in width, and 23 feet in height, the sculpture is a breathtaking homage to Lord Ram, featuring the esteemed presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and an astounding 500 miniature replicas of the Ram Temple at Ayodhya.
Crafted during a sand art camp organized by the Uttar Pradesh culture department’s academy, the masterpiece serves as a tribute to the consecration ceremony of the newly constructed temple in Ayodhya. The sheer scale and intricate detailing of the sculpture have garnered admiration not only from art enthusiasts but also from the highest echelons of the government. Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, presented the certificate of the “largest sand sculpture of Lord Ram” to Shraddha Shukla, the Director of the State Lalit Kala academy, in a ceremony that took place on Sunday.
In a moment of sheer appreciation for the artistic accomplishment, Yogi Adityanath took a selfie with the monumental sand sculpture. The image captures not only the political figure but also the essence of the artistic celebration that marks the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol at the Ayodhya temple. The selfie has quickly become a symbol of the harmonious intersection of art, culture, and politics.
Speaking about his creation, Sudarsan Pattnaik expressed his joy in contributing to the celebration of the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol. The sand sculpture, crafted over a span of two days, showcases not only the artistic finesse of Pattnaik but also the collaborative effort of his dedicated team. The inclusion of 500 miniature replicas of the Ram Mandir adds a layer of intricacy and symbolism to the already awe-inspiring creation.
Sudarsan Pattnaik’s record-breaking Lord Ram sand sculpture stands as a testament to the power of art in capturing the spirit of cultural and religious milestones. Yogi Adityanath’s appreciation and involvement in the celebration further emphasize the significance of artistic expression in commemorating historical events. As the colossal creation continues to attract attention and accolades, it serves as a reminder of the unity forged between art, politics, and spirituality at the sacred grounds of Ayodhya.
