Earlier in the day, after the Congress declared that Rahul Gandhi will also run from Rae Bareli, Prime Minister Modi made fun of the head of the Congress.Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday for making fun of Congressman Rahul Gandhi for running for two Lok Sabha seats. She claimed that Modi and numerous other members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had previously done the same thing.”This morning, he (Modi) made an unnecessary statement. He pointed to the Congress and questioned why Rahul Gandhi was running from Rai Bareli even though the CPI(M), Congress, and BJP are running together in Bengal. Rahul has fulfilled his desire.
PM Modi stated he had mentioned the Congress losing the elections in his Parliament speech at the Burdwan rally earlier in the day. Referring to Sonia Gandhi’s decision to withdraw from the Gandhi family pocket borough of Rae Bareli because to health concerns, he remarked, “it was evident they sensed defeat when their senior leader quit her Lok Sabha seat and entered Parliament through Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan.” The Congress declared on Friday that Rahul Gandhi will run in the constituency.

He then claimed that the opposition party intended to redistribute wealth to Muslims, citing a speech given in 2006 by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
