15 year old Linthoi Chanambam from Manipur crowned as Judo World Champion

On Friday, Linthoi Chanambam made history by earning India’s first-ever medal at the Judo World Championships with a gold 57kg in any age division. In the women’s 57kg competition held in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the 15-year-old Manipur native defeated Brazil’s Bianca Reis to take first place on the podium.
