About 22.36 percent polling has been recorded till 11 am in the bye-election to the Dhamnagar assembly constituency today, informed Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sushil Kumar Lohani.
Minor glitches in the EVMs were reported from five booths (Booth numbers 15, 69, 74, 75, and 165) after the polling started. Ballot Unit (BU), Control Unit (CU – Memory of EVM), and VVPAT of these five booths were replaced.
Lohani also informed about the death of polling official Natabar Munda. He said that as per the guidelines of the Election Commission, his next of kin will be provided Rs 15 lakh compensation.
