Another terrible incidence of gang rape has been reported in Bhubaneswar amid an increase in violence against women in Odisha. According to the charges, two people gave the victim sanctuary under false pretenses before gang raping her.
According to reports, the survivor arrived in Bhubaneswar yesterday (November 1) for some job but was unable to leave because of the late hour. The two accused then approached her under the guise of escorting her to a more secure location for the night.
But they reportedly transported her to a remote location and raped her there. According to reports, one of the suspects is from Chandanpur while the other is from the region of Angul. The lady arrived in Bhubaneswar court on October 30 in the evening but was unable to leave. She was wandering close to the Ram Mandir when one of the suspects offered her a place to stay the night. However, he also raped her there, according to Rajinikanth Mishra, IIC of Kharavela Nagar Police Station.
