3.5 Cr People To Be Covered Under AB PM-Jay & Gopabandhu Yojana In First Phase

3.5 crore people in the state will be covered in the first phase of the Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana (GJAY) and the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY), according to Odisha Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling. According to him, 3.5 core of Odisha’s 4.30 crore people will profit from the AB PM-JAY and GJAY during the initial phase of its implementation.

These two health insurance programs already have budgetary arrangements in place, and beneficiaries will shortly receive their cards. According to him, beneficiaries will get their payouts in assurance style. The minister stated that whereas the AB PM-JAY and GJAY would offer treatment opportunities to beneficiaries at several hospitals throughout the nation, the BSKY card only allows beneficiaries to obtain care at 956 empanelled hospitals.

Patients in the state will have access to cashless treatment services under GJAY, which has taken the role of the previous BJD government’s flagship Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY), and the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY).
