500-Bed Trauma Care Centre At SCB Medical College & Hospital Soon

At the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, the government will establish a 500-bed Trauma Care Center to offer state-of-the-art care to accident victims. In this context, a proposal has been endorsed by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. It is important to note that the “Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana” of the central government will oversee the implementation of the proposed Trauma Care Center.

The state governments will contribute the remaining 40% of the funds for this, with the central government providing 60%. In a letter dated July 2, 2024, the Chief Minister asked Union Health Minister JP Nadda to build a Trauma Care Center at the SCB Medical College and Hospital. The state government has now approved the plan following the Union government’s in-principle approval. Soon, the project will be established and a full project report (DPR) will be generated.
