India and dragon are working to reduce tensions along the India-China border. The two countries will meet in the eleventh round on Friday. The meeting will focus on the People’s Liberation Army, the Chinese military, and the hot springs, Gogra, and Depsang. The commander’s meeting will be held in Chusalul-Molde, India.
On Thursday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi said the disputed area would be included in the meeting. Peace is expected to return. The working mechanism was set at a meeting on March 12, he said.
The two sides met on February 20 after the withdrawal of their respective troops from Pangang Sore. At this point both countries withdrew tents, troops from the disputed areas. The meeting lasted about 18 hours.
Notably, the situation between the two countries deteriorated in May last year. The Chinese military prevented Indian Javanese from patrolling. In June 2020, 20 Indians were killed in clashes in the Galwan Valley. More than 20 Chinese troops have also been reported killed. After that, the controversy escalated.
