She was born to a doctors family of Athagarh and completed MBBS and MD in Medicine from prestigious SCB Medical College, Cuttack with a brilliant career. She was the HOD Medicine at SCB and Chairman of API Odisha. She is wife of famous onco surgeon Professor Krupasindhu Panda.
