On Thursday, October 5, in the late evening, four police officers, including a sub-inspector, sexually attacked a young girl in Mukkombu, a well-known tourist destination in Tamil Nadu that is a short distance from Tiruchi.The girl was reportedly travelling with a male acquaintance at the time of the assault, according to the police. The four police officers stopped the two and questioned them after they were accused of drinking.The juvenile said in the police report that the four got into a fight with the girl’s friend while they were being questioned. They then attacked him and violated her sexually.

The hour-long sexual assault took place in the automobile. They also threatened to book the girl and her boyfriend in a case of marijuana peddling if she didn’t meet the SI everytime he called. They stopped the car and asked the officers inside what was going on.In response to her complaint, the four officers B Sasikumar (28), sub-inspector of the Jeeyapuram police station (Special Wing), S Sankar Rajapandian (32) and J Prasad (26), both employed by the Navalpat station’s highway patrol unit, and A Sitharthan (30), employed by the Jeeyapuram traffic police station, were suspended.
