On the fringes of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, Jairam Ramesh made the statement.In response to Derek O’Brien, the MP for the Trinamool Congress, who stated that his party would run alone in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, Jairam Ramesh stated on Saturday that the Congress and the TMC are now in talks about forming an alliance in West Bengal. While the politician played down the leader’s statement, he stated that “we respect Mamata Banerjee” and that the two parties continue to have heated debates.
The Congress has concluded its seat-sharing agreements with the Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh and the Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi, following some initial snags.”What matters is that the alliance (in UP) has made an official announcement.Giving it a final form takes time.The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress will also formally announce their partnership today. Ramesh stated today, “I always said that it needs time, even though it was being repeated over and over again that Congress is sluggish and uninterested.
Last month, Mamata Banerjee said that her party would only run in the Bengali elections. She claimed that although she had given the Congress two seats, the plan had been turned down by the group.”I don’t think Congress will win forty.” I would have let them win and offered them two seats.
