After years of cohabiting, Kareena talked candidly about her marriage in a 2020 interview with Filmfare. The actor, who recently appeared in the film Crew, talked of being married to Saif “at the height of her career.” She remembered how people reacted to her choice.
Kareena had responded, “I wasn’t edgy or anxious,” when asked if she had experienced “edginess and anxiety as a wife in the first few years of marriage.” It’s a fresh journey, though. It wasn’t out of curiosity or testing that I moved in with Saif before to being married. It was because we were always filming and didn’t have much time to be together. From then on, it was an easy transfer. That was it—he asked me to marry him.”The actor shared the responses, saying, “Everyone was like, ‘Don’t marry, your career will be over. Shaadi mat karna, warna career khatam ho jayega.'” “Career hi khatam ho jayega na?” I asked.
