After two days of deliberations, a 12-member New York jury found Trump guilty in the hush-money case. The former US president was found guilty by the jury of fabricating documents to hide hush money payments. On all 34 felony counts that were brought against him, he was found guilty.The internet went bananas, expressing its thoughts through memes, as the historic guilty decision made headlines. Some, like Donald Trump Jr., the president’s eldest son, defended Trump, while others used X to share amusing jokes.
Singer and actor Bette Midler posted a picture along with a message from Robert De Niro. “Donald Trump doesn’t belong in my city,” it said. When he was simply another grimy real estate hustler posing as a big shot, we New Yorkers used to put up with him. This city can accommodate most people. Clowns have our own space. But the nation cannot be run by someone like Trump. That is ineffective, as everyone is aware.
