Will Naveen Patnaik Lose Influence? BJP Is Expected To Make Notable Advances

With 147 assembly seats and 21 Lok Sabha seats altogether, the final round of the state assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Odisha has concluded. There were four phases to the election for assembly seats: on May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1. Concluding concurrently with the Lok Sabha election was the Odisha assembly election. The findings of exit polls were just released by a number of organizations.

The exit poll conducted by India Today-Axis My India indicates that the BJD, led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, is predicted to win between 62 and 80 seats in the Odisha assembly elections, while the BJP may win between 62 and 80 seats. The projected number of seats for the Congress party is 5-8.

The Axis My India exit poll prediction indicated that the BJP’s vote share could increase to 42%, while the BJD’s vote share is predicted to decrease to 42% as well. However, it is anticipated that the Congress will receive 12%.

Out of 147 seats in the 2019 Assembly Sabha elections, BJD won 112 seats. In the state, the Congress won 9 seats while the BJP won 23. Along with the Lok Sabha results, the assembly election results of 2024 are also expected to be announced on June 4.
