Naveen Urges Newly Elected BJD MLAs To Continue Public Service

On Wednesday, BJD president and departing chief minister Naveen Patnaik asked the party’s newly elected MLAs to serve the people without reservation. Today, all of the BJD’s MLAs went to see Naveen Nivas and spoke with the party leader to thank him for allowing them to work for the people. Patnaik wished everyone well on their triumph and suggested that they carry on with their public duty.

He made a plea to every MLA to keep working for Odisha’s improvement. According to Patnaik, twenty-four years ago, seventy percent of the state’s inhabitants lived in poverty. Now, it stands at ten percent. During the BJD regime, this was feasible.

Patnaik counseled the lawmakers to share in the joys and sufferings of the people. The party will immediately establish a committee to determine the reason for the setback, according to recently elected MLA Arun Sahoo. Present on the occasion were nearly all of the MLAs, including Pramila Mallick, Arun Sahoo, Byomakesh Ray, Anant Narayan Jena, Badri Patra, Adhiraj Panigrahi, Devi Tripathy, and Sanjeev Mallick. Notably, in the recently held Assembly election, the BJD secured 51 seats, the BJP secured 78 seats, and the Congress secured 14 seats.
