Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development (H & UD) department, recently visited several Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) locations. This visit resulted in prompt and significant action. Officials in the Laxmi Sagar neighborhood have started repairs after receiving his orders, and the street lights have been restored and are now completely functional.
The Minister also gave the urgent restoration of the roads surrounding the Fishery Tank first priority in response to public demand. To guarantee long-lasting repairs, the BMC engineering team is busy laying wet mix macadam with the help of devoted laborers and equipment. It is anticipated that the work will be finished in a strict timeframe, covering between 400 and 500 meters of road in a single night.
Accompanied by Mayor Sulochana Das, MLA Babu Singh, local leader Jagannatha Pradhan, BMC Commissioner Rajesh Pravakar Patil, VC BDA Balwant Singh, and local corporators and communities, Mahapatra carried out an extensive examination of several water bodies within BMC’s control during his visit. The BMC has acted quickly as a result of the Minister’s proactive attitude, showcasing their astute awareness of community needs and Bhubaneswar’s infrastructure maintenance. It is anticipated that the Minister’s visit will have far-reaching benefits for the city’s growth.
