Odisha Govt To Regularise 1022 Nursing Officers Inducted To General Health Cadre

The 1022 Nursing Officers who were previously enrolled in the General Health Cadre will now work on a regular basis thanks to the Odisha government. The Chief District Medical & Public Health Officers (CDM&PHOs) of the following districts: Angul, Bargarh, Bhadrak, Balasore, Bolangir, Boudh, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Khordha, Koraput, Keonjhar, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Nayagarh, Nuapada, Puri, Rayagada, Sambalpur, Subarnapur, and Sundargarh are the recipients of a circular from the Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) Department on Monday.

During the High Power Committee meeting on July 12 of this year, the H&FW Department made a decision regarding the recommendation for the same. During its meeting on July 12, 2024, the High Power Committee proposed that 1022 Nursing Officers who had previously been assigned to General Health Care under various CDMs, PHOs, and MCHs throughout the state be regularized in their employment. The government’s Health & Family Welfare Department has duly approved the High Power Committee’s recommendation in this regard, according to the letter.
