SAVE Solutions: Bridging the Rural-Urban Banking Divide

SAVE Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a pioneering financial services provider, continues to make significant strides in bringing comprehensive banking services to underserved rural areas. Founded by Ajay Kumar Sinha, Pankaj Kumar, and Ajeet Kumar Singh, the company is deeply rooted in the mission of financial inclusion and economic development.

Starting in 2009, SAVE Solutions faced numerous challenges, including convincing the State Bank of India (SBI) of their capabilities as a Banking Correspondent. The introduction of Kiosk Banking by SBI, which required setting up computers and Internet services in villages, presented both a challenge and an opportunity. On March 13, 2010, SAVE Society inaugurated its first Customer Service Point (CSP) in Chakand, Gaya District, spanning Bihar and Jharkhand. This milestone was achieved by leveraging trusted relationships with local recovery agents and overcoming initial skepticism from stakeholders.

The initial vision of SAVE Solutions was to integrate underserved populations into the formal banking system. Over time, this vision evolved to address broader financial needs, such as providing loans for small businesses in rural areas. The company transitioned from a financial literacy advocate to a comprehensive financial services provider, significantly contributing to the economic empowerment of village economies.

With over 17 years of experience in the financial services sector, Ajeet Kumar Singh has witnessed transformative changes, particularly in rural banking. Key advancements include the provision of Internet services in remote locations through V-SAT technology, innovative banking models, increased financial literacy programs, technological upgrades for CSPs, and improved operational efficiency. These changes have collectively fostered greater financial inclusion and economic development in rural areas.

The founders’ expertise in rural marketing has been pivotal to the company’s growth. Their deep understanding of rural areas and local dialects has built strong community relationships and trust. This insight has enabled SAVE Solutions to tailor its services effectively, addressing specific challenges faced by rural communities. Initiatives like prioritizing financial literacy and introducing microloans have been instrumental in the company’s success.

Ajeet Kumar Singh, MD and Co-Founder of SAVE Solutions Pvt. Ltd., candidly shares “Our journey began with a simple yet profound vision: to bridge the gap between rural populations and formal banking services. Over the years, we have evolved and expanded our services to meet the diverse financial needs of these communities. Our commitment to financial inclusion and economic development remains unwavering, and we are excited about the future as we continue to innovate and grow.”

SAVE Solutions plans to integrate advanced data analytics to enhance efficiency and productivity. Leveraging data analytics will provide valuable insights into customer behavior, enabling the company to tailor products and services more effectively. Looking ahead, future trends in India’s financial services sector include accelerated digital transformation, fintech innovations, AI and ML applications, increased financial inclusion efforts, evolving regulatory frameworks, sustainable finance, enhanced cybersecurity, and the adoption of open banking.

In the next 5-10 years, SAVE Solutions aims to become a leading financial services provider with a diversified portfolio catering to consumers across India. The company plans to establish a strong PAN India presence, innovate continuously, and adapt to changing consumer needs. Strategies include leveraging technology, ensuring robust cybersecurity, promoting financial inclusion, and focusing on sustainability. By investing in advanced technologies and strategic partnerships, SAVE Solutions aims to expand its reach, empower underserved populations, and contribute to sustainable development.
