Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister KV Singh Deo met with members of WAPCOS, a Central Government Mini-Ratna Company, at Lok Seva Bhavan to improve irrigation and energy sector infrastructure. The agenda items for the meeting were infrastructural development, irrigation, and power in the state. With the successful completion of projects like the Rengali Irrigation Project, the Gangadhar Meher Irrigation Project, and the Chipilima Power Channel, WAPCOS has a solid track record in Odisha.
The Chipilima Power Channel’s damaged sections were the main topic of discussion during the meeting, and necessary steps will be taken, it was promised. Future projects were also discussed in great detail, with Minister Singh Deo requesting information on project budgets, schedules, and specs. The meeting’s cutting-edge concepts and creative fixes, according to Minister Singh Deo, have enormous potential to further Odisha’s infrastructure development.
