Did We Pollute Our Minds?

By Abhishek Haridasan

Pollution is multi-fold; everything is external and combined with an internal urge to remove toxicants – literally and figuratively.

What makes us polluted? A lot of people feel that their processing power and thoughts are polluted, and it’s because of the people, and environment they reside in. It holds true for the very nature of miscreants who wreak havoc and do not like the idea of smooth sailing. There’s also a lot of jealousy and hatred that pollutes minds and crumbles the structural framework of humanity.

The Pollution Outside: This is another medal for humanity and thanks to our overzealous nature, we have compromised resources, leading to depletion, direness and despair. The habit of thinking for now, without the smallest of thoughts for the future, is leading us to deplete things that we have taken for granted: Air, water, organic food, natural resources and more.

A Polluted Future: Our thoughts go out to those who are part of a future, where pollution will be a painful given with no major treatment of the issue in sight. Or is there something mankind can do?

In a world that is celebrating overconsumption, we need to find the root cause of excessiveness and understand why minimalism is a boon. Avoid throwing caution to the wind and address issues which are considered trivial. Be part of the growing tribe of people who respect natural resources and harness them for betterment.

With a polluted mind, the entire spectrum of growth will be challenged and lead to an ever-polluting way of living. We must act now before it is too late!

Start by rationing whatever is in excess and create a plan to diffuse scepticism. With a clearer mind, a clearer future will be in sight and your change-agent-like nature will usher in a golden era for everyone.

Let’s hold hands, trust the process and sweep up changes around us.

Unpolluted. Unfazed. Uncompromised! Let’s rise ahead!
