Development Commissioner Directs For Timely Completion Of Rengali Project

Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg has instructed all authorities participating in the Rengali Irrigation Project to swiftly settle any outstanding difficulties in order to ensure the project’s early completion, emphasizing rapid action and coordinated efforts. Garg, who chaired the Project Management Committee’s fifth meeting at Lokseva Bhavan on Monday, emphasized the vital necessity of smooth interdepartmental coordination between the many executing agencies and stakeholders.

She emphasized that for a project to proceed smoothly, major obstacles must be resolved, such as those pertaining to land acquisition, environmental clearances, and issues with the railway department.

“Departments and institutions must work in close coordination to overcome hurdles efficiently,” Garg stated, underscoring the importance of a unified approach to address both major and minor challenges. She further informed the committee about ongoing engagements with relevant Union Government ministries to expedite solutions for implementation-related issues.

The Development Commissioner gave everyone involved a deadline: they had to settle any unresolved matters by the next committee meeting, which was set for the following month. The state administration’s emphasis on expediting the crucial irrigation project is strengthened by this decision.
