The Odisha Government announced a hike in the cessation benefits for its ad-hoc employees, marking a significant policy decision aimed at recognising the contributions of temporary staff serving across various state departments. According to an official press release, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi approved a proposal to enhance the cessation benefits from the existing Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 2.5 lakh. The revised benefits will be provided as a one-time payout to ad-hoc employees upon the cessation of their services.
