“Andy Byron’s Salary at Astronomer Revealed”

Andy Byron has officially resigned as CEO of Astronomer, the $1.3 billion data infrastructure firm, following a widely reported incident during a Coldplay concert. Initially placed on leave, Byron’s departure was confirmed by the company on July 19. In the interim, Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy will step into the CEO role as the Board of Directors launches its search for a permanent successor.

Byron’s financial standing is notable—his net worth is estimated between $50 million and $70 million, with a reported annual salary ranging from $469,000 to $690,000, excluding performance-based bonuses.

In a statement, Astronomer reaffirmed its commitment to ethical leadership:

“Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met.”

Commenting on the resignation, former CEO and cofounder Ry Walker, who led Astronomer from 2015 to 2019, shared on X (formerly Twitter):

“I’ve only been on one call with Andy, but I’ve found him to be professional. Everyone on the team has praised his leadership.”
