The Odisha of Odia Language, Literature, and Culture on Saturday introduced the “Ama Kalakara” site (https://amakalakara.odisha.gov.in), a significant step in fostering openness and bolstering the state’s cultural environment. Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly Surama Padhy opened the portal. By making it easier for registered cultural troupes to participate in government-sponsored programs, the digital platform was created to promote and protect Odisha’s rich artistic and cultural legacy. It seeks to increase efficiency and accountability while streamlining the administrative process.

 

Real-time monitoring of cultural is made possible by the “Ama Kalakara” portal’s user-friendly design and support for mobile-based geotagging. It will provide a methodical process for the selection and employment of cultural troupes and enable the transparent issue of work orders to them. Artists’ Aadhaar data would be connected to the platform in order to avoid double registrations and recurrent engagements, hence reducing duplication and malpractice. This will assist guaranty that only qualified cultural groups and performers are chosen for different programs.

 

Officials may verify occurrences by submitting 360-degree footage of performances and geotagged photos to the portal. It is anticipated that the digital paperwork would expedite the verification procedure and allow artists to get paid on time. The Department of Odia Language, Literature, and Culture claims that the “Ama Kalakara” portal will offer a strong digital platform for conserving and promoting Odisha’s rich cultural traditions while increasing accountability, efficiency, and transparency in the administration of cultural programs.
