The issue in Switzerland about Burqa has come to an end on Sunday. In a referendum, people voted in favor of banning the burqa in public. According to Reuters, more than 50 percent of voters voted in favor of the ban. About 54 percent of voters demanded that the burqa and the Nakab be declared illegal.
Swiss voters say the practice of covering their faces completely in shops, restaurants and on the streets is banned. But a seven-member committee of the Swiss parliament and the country’s federal government opposed the motion.
According to reports, there was a vote on whether or not to wear a burqa in public. Voting for this was held on Sunday. It also called for a change in the country’s direct democratic process. About 54 percent of the population still supports the ban on burqa. Earlier, it was said that a law would be passed to ban the burqa.

According to Swiss Muslims, right-wing groups are treating Muslims as enemies. Disagreements will increase among the people in the country for such a ban. Notably, France banned the burqa in 2011. Denmark, Austria, the Netherlands and Bulgaria also have restrictions on the wearing of burqa.
