Shri Ajay Singh Yadav Takes Charge as Head of Project at NTPC Talcher Kaniha

At NTPC Talcher Kaniha, the third-largest power generating plant of NTPC Limited, the Maharatna enterprise of the Indian government, Shri Ajay Singh Yadav has assumed responsibility as Head of Project (HOP). Shri Yadav provides significant technical expertise and leadership acumen to NTPC, having worked there for more than 36 years. On September 5, 1989, he began working at NTPC as an Executive Trainee in the Mechanical stream.

Shri Yadav graduated from Jiwaji University in Gwalior with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and from Management Development Institute (MDI) in Gurgaon with a Post Graduate Diploma in Management. He has worked in a variety of technical and non-technical fields during his distinguished career, including project management, corporate planning, operations and maintenance responsibilities, and fuel handling. He has worked in the NTPC Corporate Center in New Delhi and at several important NTPC stations, including Korba, Anta, Khargone, and Tanda. Additionally, he was Talaipalli Coal Mining’s Head of Project.

Shri Yadav is renowned for emphasizing efficiency, planning, and safety. Additionally, he has participated in a number of internal and external leadership, risk management, and safety systems training courses. His main goals in his new position at NTPC Talcher Kaniha will be to improve operational performance with sustainability and forge closer ties with the community and external stakeholders.
