World Book Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and revelry at Sanjay colony near Dhenkanal Railway Station by Gurudevji foundation in collaboration with Ameteur Taekwondo Association here on Friday.
At first, the volunteers of both the organizations sanitized the hands of the children in the colony and distributed masks to them awaring them about Covid-19 pandemic. Further, they distributed notebook, pen and “Madhu bornabodh” book to the children.

Following this, the founder and chairman of Gurudevji foundation, Er. Soumyabrata Sahoo briefed the children about the importance of books in our day to day life and further promised to open a library there for their betterment for the society.
Later, a book distribution program was conducted at Harijan Sahi at Paikadohikar village of Baldiabandh Gram Panchayat under the supervision of Mr. Bigyan Mohanty, the director of Gurudevji foundation.

“The security of Odia language is our onus and Odia language should circulate in every household,” said Mohanty.
