The COVID 19 situation in the state is worrying. More than 10,000 infections are reported daily. The district, bordering Chhattisgarh, became a hotspot of infection in the second wave of COVID19. Most of these districts are in the western part of Odisha. Infection is still rampant in all of these districts.
The West Odisha Development Council will take over the management of the corona in western Odisha. The West Odisha Development Council is gearing up to tackle the coop in 10 districts and the Athmallik subdivision. A sum of Rs 25 crore has been provided for this purpose.

Similarly, Rs 3 crore will be given to seven districts, Rs one crore to Debgarh, Boudh and Subarnapur. The money will be spent on the establishment of medical infrastructure and the provision of oxymeter to needfuls.
