In Conversation with- Mr. Prasant Panigrahi,Managing Director- Gayatri Solar

Mr.Prasant Panigrahi, Managing Director of “GAYATRI SOLAR” is a technocrat with an industrial electronics background and has proficiency in solar and other renewable energy applications.

In the year 1993, he started his voyage with his complete dedication, commitment to justify his venture on Solar with the moral guidance of his father, Sri G.H.Panigrahi as well as strong support from his brother and all good wishes from family members. In due course, his positive attitude, approach, and goodwill start creating a trust base in industry friends to run the show of GAYATRI SOLAR successfully.

During 1993 when “Gayatri Solar” started the venture and was just an infant in the solar industry with the future of Solar being discussed at very few developmental points of Government Of India and was a challenge to justify Solar Energy equipment Implementation as a new concept to an existing Grid Power source with remarkable efforts to bring the solar power concept to Grid Parity and Net-zero mode.

Mr.Panigarhi the technocrat viewed this as an opportunity for the next 25 years and imagined with action to work on this new concept of SOLAR Industry with a vision to implement this on Odisha Soil and to Install with high potential marketing Target on “Solar on every rooftop of Odisha Household” to make the Odisha household with self-sufficient of Green power with good Carbon footprints.

Despite the ups and downs, harassment, financial problems, Skilled Manpower, and lack of assistance from the banking system and bankers, he never stopped and crossed the difficult road to reach his vision and Mission. Being a new Solarentrepreneur, he never lost sight of his Specific target and the very purpose of his Vision to Contribute Odisha on Green Energy Front with a balance for sustainable development and the Ecosystem.

No matter where we go, for any good enterprise to go ahead is practically possible if the basic idea is clear with strong dedication. Nothing can stop if you are having good skills and a strong clear vision.

Mr.Prasant said, it genuinely was too hard to manage in the initial stage without any base of or background business & of course that fear is also a cause and moving force to justify the venture in a dedicated and planned manner for pushing me to a genuine height.

Being a solar entrepreneur I always tried focusing on my work culture, dreams no matter what the external vibe be. I always try to keep myself positive in all instances possibly where I can.

Mr.Panigrahi is a man of dreams, a Practical Positive approach, New ideas, and a welcome mindset for New Innovations and Challenges with a new production line of thinking. He believes strongly in Teamwork and Networking business with growth for all stakeholders. His focussed attitude on parallel growth of GAYATRI SOLAR Family (Staff & Organisation) and connected stakeholders’ livelihood for a better with balanced smoothening also played a vital role during this journey of Gayatri Solar since last 28 to 29 Years since the day of Inception.

Coming from a family background of Engineers, Doctors, and well-educated families, he tries to justify his contribution to the business entity as well as social responsibility for Odisha proved himself as a successful resource person with his new and ideal entrepreneurial skills exclusively in Solar and green energy revolutions.

With a successful note, he established the Brand image of  ‘GAYATRI SOLAR’ as front runner Solar  Industry of  Odisha being an Odia Entrepreneur with due respect for our loving Odisha state and helping budding solar entrepreneurs with skill and ideas to move for next step (Because a huge potential for new Comers/Entrepreneurs working on solar sector and future time to Come). During this course of the journey “Gayatri Solar” got associated with

In the past consecutive three years, “Gayatri Solar” has received the Cll green awards under the MSME category at the “Enterprise ODISHA” for being the best positive enterprise. He was driven by a profound effort to advance solar energy through “Gayatri Solar,” and this dedication with hard work and Teamwork concept enabled his company to complete a number of significant projects, notably

1. Highest Solar Water heating System Installer in Odisha
2. Solar Electrification of Remote Village Electrification Program under MNRE/OREDA/BEL -2006-07 to 2011-12
3. the tribal School Solar PV Program (with 10kw SPV Power Plant & SLS).
4. Overall 13.2 MW Off-Grid Solar Installation was done by GECCPL over a decade of hard effort& Successful operation.

Some of his most important projects are

1. A) all Panchayat (Block Office) Solarification with 15kW SPV Power plant & 20 SLS in the same campus.

B)Fire station Solarification with backup as well as Net meter application which was built 1st time in Odisha, also approved by OREDA, TPCODL for all Odisha installation of domestic rooftop solar program under subsidy scheme at MNRE(Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Govt of India),

C)On-grid commercial net meter-based 250 kW ground-mounted solar power plant for OMC through OREDA.

D)With that, we have been noted as the highest capacity Installer of solar thermal devices across the State of Odisha.

E)We have worked on the solar water heating system with the highest capacity in ODISHA at Lord Jagannath temple Puri.

F)Also, we have executed many Solar Hybrids LED Traffic Signals in different locations in Odisha State.

Mr.Panigrahi stated that our goal is specific, and we wish to keep moving forward with our positive approach to promote and build high-quality solar and other green energy devices with possible installations. People in the state are being educated in order to achieve the goal of the Net Zero option using solar technology.

In response to the current demand and practical needs, Gayatri Solar has expanded the scope of production to include-

1. “SOLAR Inverter” (It’s a technology that transforms direct current (DC) electricity generated by solar panels into alternating current (AC) electricity used by the electrical grid) and mainly a major component of Solar Power Plant (OFF-GRID or ON-GRID).
2. Production plan of electric vehicle charger & controller looking to demand of the day on Electric Vehicle and futuristic planning.
3. Gayatri Solar is ready for entering the movement, where company effort, expertise, and knowledge will be put to good use in the ODISHA sphere as well as for our team GAYATRI SOLAR.
4. Presently, we are working for building a ‘Heritage style of the factory and office culture’ a unique concept. (Includes any building of one or more premises, or any part thereof, and/or structure and/or artifact that requires conservation and/or cultural and/or environmental and/or ecological purposes, and/or architectural and/or aesthetic and /or ecological purposes).
5. We are trying to produce on Odisha soil the best possible production line and product, which will contribute to the enterprise & society a good to excellent contribution in the field of Solar/Renewable energy by creating good carbon Footprints.
