Mild tremors of earthquake was felt in Odisha in today’s afternoon. The earthquake jolted Nabarangpur and Kalahandi districts of Odisha today, thereby triggering widespread panic among the residents.
However, the earthquake was very mild recorded at 3.5 Richter scale. The earthquake hit around 11 40 am to 12pm as per the reports of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar. Each tremors of earthquake lasted for 6 to 7 seconds.
As per initial reports, the walls of several houses reportedly developed cracks under the impact of the tremors. However, no major damage was reported at the time of filing the report.
