After sizzling temperatures of over 40 degree celsius in Odisha for almost 2 weeks, there might be slight respite from the weather today. As per the reports of IMD several states of Odisha will witness thunderstorms and lightning in the next 24 hours.
Apart from this, there will be no large change in the maximum temperature (Day Temperature) during the next five days over the districts of Odisha. The maximum temperature is likely to be more than 40 degree Celsius and likely to be above normal by 2 to 3 degrees at many places over the districts of interior Odisha during the next two days.
Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal and Angul.
