In yet another case of theft inside the public transport system in Bhubaneswar, Mo Bus, a couple was allegedly looted of Rs 42000 cash near Jaydev Vihar Square on Monday. The couple has reportedly lodged a complaint in this regard at Nayapalli police station.
According to the reports, the couple suspected a co-passenger of stealing their purse. Though the couple frisked the suspect, they could not find the purse. Alleging no cooperation from the staff of Mo Bus, the victim couple also claimed that the concerned bus driver didn’t stop the vehicle even for a minute for them. It is pertinent to mention here that the incidents of pickpockets are on a rise in Bhubaneswar. The police have been claiming to have kept things under control, but the unabated spike in pickpockets and loots in Mo Bus has only kept the commuters on their toes.
