A mother and her little daughter were saved from committing suicide by a traffic officer. On Tuesday, Cuttack reported this event. Sources claim that a woman from Tigiria in the Cuttack district attempted suicide by climbing over the Madhupatna flyover and jumping. The woman and her daughter had fled their village because of a family conflict, and they had arrived at the Madhupatna Flyover where, according to reports, they planned to end their lives. Although many there attempted to persuade the woman to down from the bridge, she refused. It was the traffic officers who were able to sneak up on the woman and drag her to the ground.
