At the Srikshetra Vihar neighborhood inside the city’s Bada Bazar police boundaries today, criminals are accused of throwing homemade explosives at a police squad. Although no police officers were hurt in the incident, five people have been taken into custody by the police as a result.
Addressing to reporters, Berhampur SP Saravana Vivek M stated that a case had been opened at the Bada Bazar police station in response to a report that had been made this morning claiming that homemade explosives had been thrown at a residence late on Tuesday night. According to the SP, a case was opened under the Explosives Act based on the complainant’s allegation.
There are reports of crude explosives being thrown at a home in Laxmi Nrusingha Sahi, which is under the control of the Bada Bazar police. According to the SP, a Bada Bazar police squad headed by Sub Inspector Ranjit Das proceeded to find the accused in the Srikshetra Vihar neighborhood. According to the SP, the suspects threw explosives towards the police crew.
