The list of the likely candidates for the party’s nominations for the next Lok Sabha and Odisha Assembly elections is in Delhi with Manmohan Samal, the president of the BJP’s Odisha unit. Manas Mohanty, the organisational secretary, and Pratap Sarangi, the BJP MP from Balasore, are also in the nation’s capital for the gathering.

On Sunday, BJP election in-charge for Odisha Vijay Pal Singh Tomar and co-in-charge Lata Usendi departed for Delhi. Samal and the other party leaders are expected to be present at the meeting of the BJP election core committee, where the party’s candidates for the state’s concurrent elections would be decided.

The BJP core committee meeting will be attended by the party president JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
