B & A Packaging India Ltd. is a MSME unit under the flagship company of B & A Group. It is located in an underdeveloped rural area of Balgopalpur, Balasore . It is incorporated in 1986 as manufacturer of Paper Bags. The company started its commercial production in 1989 only for Tea packaging. At that time, concept of using paper bags among the other business consumers in India was rare.
With advancement of days the concept of using paper sack developed and B & A Packaging India Ltd. has now become a major player in supplying Paper bags to big industrial houses . It supplies Paper sacks to namely organizations like Goodricke, Apeejay Tea, Wrren Tea, Lucid, Indofil, Coromandal, Himadri, Madhusilica, KMML , Golcha, Phillips Carbon Black Ltd. Birla Carbon, Vishnu Chemicals, Roquette and many other business houses including tea manufacture using paper sacks.
The company diversified its product range and established another unit of Flexible Packaging Unit under the same brand name in the year 2012 and now is a major supplier of packaging materials to reputed business house like Amalgamted, Parry Agro, Limtex, Nestle, Spenser, Indoifil, UPL, Emami, Pidilite, Haldiram, Milky Moo, Winkles and many other established companies in India.
B & A Packaging Ltd. Is not just a major supplier of packaging materials for the requirement in Indian market but also exporting its quality packaging materials to Kenya, Vietnam, Egypt, Thailand, Dubai, Qatar, Nepal and some other countries. The company is a part of B & A Group and our founder Late Hemendra Prasad Barooah an eminent scholar of prestigious Harvard Business School USA, a business tycoon in North Eastern India and Padma Shri Awardee has unparallel contribution towards, education literature and Social service.
The B & A Group now is having diversified business in Tea plantation, Tea broking, Golf Resort, North East Heritage & Packaging materials of Paper bags & flexible packaging. Mr. Amal Kumar Mohanty, Vice-President (Works) basically a Mechanical Engineer having vast experience in different national & multinational companies starting from Engineering field to Production has contributed a lot to the company since inception towards modernization, diversification and development of Machineries, Skill development, Research & development of new packaging system and its product adoptability by customer under the Valued guidance of Managing Director and Directors. His visionary and creativity at present pioneering the industry to an era of new generation of packaging solution. Under his leadership, the company has achieved a turn over from 2 crores to 144 crore which is remarkable and praise worthy. His thought process for success, fulfillment and development of all internal & external customers for success of the company from zero level to this trend is no doubt a period of achievement and advancement. The company is having fully automated machines from European countries supported by highly technical and self-motivated professional in the line of paper manufacturing is taking the company to height. With the combined strength of its two units in Balgopalpur, Balasore, the company can produce 20 crores paper bags and about 2000 MT of flexible laminates per annum to meet the internal market demand and abroad
