Popular B Town actress Mahie Gill is all likely to join the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) today. The actress is well known for her roles in Dev D and Saheb Biwi and Gangster. It is a known fact that many celebrities from the entertainment industry love to join politics. Also, it becomes a great tool for the political party to run their campaigns with popular faces.
Actress Mahie Gill will join BJP from Punjab. As per the reports, she will most likely participate in the Punjab elections as well. The Punjab Assembly polls will be a four-corner contest with ruling Congress taking on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)-Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) alliance, and the alliance of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Captain Amarinder Singh’s Punjab Lok Congress.
Polling for the 117-member Punjab Assembly is scheduled to be held on February 20. The counting of votes will be taken up on March 10.
