Ambition in Youth and in Teenagers

Ambition refers to the desire to gain something in life. The youth is ambitious by nature. Teenagers, in particular, are way more ambitious like Icarus. Icarus’s story is a perfect example of how ambition beyond comprehension can ruin things, often times. Ambition is the driving force behind goals in life. If we want to achieve success in life, ambition is the most important. However, ambition has both its pros and cons. Icarus was the son of Daedalus, who was captured by Minos. While trying to escape from his own labyrinth, Icarus flew way too close to the sun. The wax holding his feathers together melted, leading him to fall into the sea.

Thus, the Icarean islands were created. Recently, ambition in youth and teenagers is getting focused somewhere else. The influence of social media is extremely relevant. The main hiatus is something which is rather based off social media fame and recognition. However, there are still individuals who interpret the true meaning of life, and the purpose behind it. The ambition to follow one’s passion in life, and if possible, convert into one’s profession, should be followed. Following dreams is difficult, but not quite impossible.
