An 11-year-old girl who had been hired as a domestic helper in the Capital City is said to have been tortured inhumanely.
After the young child with numerous injuries was found dumped along the road in the Nayapalli region, the situation came to light. The girl was employed as a domestic helper in a home in the city’s Salia Sahi neighbourhood, according to sources. But she claims that her employer and members of his family often tortured her.Her many fractures were allegedly caused by beatings with iron rods. She was abandoned by her employer on Tuesday after the brutal attack.
When they saw the girl writhing in agony by the road, some bystanders called Childline. The Childline staff members came to the girl’s rescue right away and took her to Capital Hospital.Members of Childline filed a report, and as a result, the accused employer was taken into custody. The young lady is one Pramila Nayak’s third child, and she and her husband are no longer together.
“The owner of the home promised to enrol my daughter in school and cover all of her costs. I had no idea he had brutally tortured my daughter. She told me her employer beat her as she stumbled home, said Pramila. “She admitted to me that although they used to beat her frequently, the assault that day was particularly harsh. They beat her and left her half way,” she continued. Justice was emancipated for her daughter.
