A notice was issued to the Union of India by the Delhi court on Tuesday. This was regarding the restoration of 27 temples in the Qutub Minar Complex in Mehrauli. This appeal has been filed by Tirthankara Lord Rishabh Dev (Jain Deity), Lord Vishnu (Principal Deity, Temple Complex) and other advocates.
“Nobody has denied that wrongs were committed in the pasr but such wrongs can not be the basis of disturbing peace of our present and future” said Civil Judge Neha Sharma on November 29, last year. The suit claimed that Hindu and Jain temples were demolished and Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque was raised inside complex reusing the materials and sought to restore the “demolished temples”. This claim was according to Archeological Survey of India. (ASI).The Jain and Hindus have filed a cased of restoration of 27 temples.
