In a heartfelt revelation during a past interview with India Today, Anant Ambani expressed deep gratitude for his fiancée Radhika Merchant, acknowledging her unwavering support during his long-standing health challenges.
The youngest son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, Anant has faced several health issues since childhood, including obesity and asthma. Reflecting on his journey, Anant described Radhika as a constant source of strength and comfort through his most difficult moments.
“I am lucky (to have her) for sure. She is the person of my dreams,” Anant said. “Since childhood, I had thought I would never get married because I was always devoted to taking care of animals. But when I met Radhika, I saw she shared the same values. She has a deep sense of giving and nurturing, especially towards animals.”
While he credited his parents for always standing by him and never letting him feel ill, Anant emphasized the special role Radhika played in his recovery. “Beyond that, Radhika has stood like a strong pillar of support during my difficult times, as I battled health issues. Even when doctors gave up, she didn’t. She gave me strength,” he added.
The couple, who share a deep bond over their shared compassion for animals, are set to tie the knot in a grand ceremony later this year.
