Born, raised, and educated in Shillong, Meghalaya, YASHODHARA P is an acclaimed educationist, counselor, multilingual author, lyricist, and singer whose work has touche countless lives across India. Throughout her distinguished career, she has dedicated herself to education, psychological counseling, social development, and creative expression.
A lifelong educator, she has authored more than 40 books spanning literature, psychology, spirituality, self-development, and social issues. Writing under the pen name “Yashodhara P,” she is widely appreciated for her ability to blend psychological insight with philosophical reflection. Her acclaimed novel “Where Love Begins – Vibhavari” received a Best Fiction Award and has been translated into multiple languages, while her poetry collection “Shaswat” earned praise from readers and literary circles alike.

Demonstrating extraordinary determination, she completed her Ph.D. in her fifties and later trained in counseling at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).
